Notes from the Underground is all about showcasing local and international talent in the DJ and electronic music scene. We are committed to exposing the best music of the underground, and sharing our platform with our favourite DJs in Canada and beyond.

Our 40+ years of combined experience as DJs gives us a unique perspective on radio show programming: In our case, how is the music is presented is as important as the music itself. Our open format enables us to be responsive to movements in music, embracing new and hybrid genres as they evolve.

Notes from the Underground officially began in March 2010 with resident host DJs Soo, Spilt Milk and Socool. The show grew out of the evolution of the Shadow Jugglers radio show, which had been broadcasting on CiTR since 2003. Regardless of the show's name, our mission remains the same: Starting the Saturday night party off right.
